Belfast primary school classrooms deemed unsafe after Raac identified
Classrooms at Cairnshill Primary School in Belfast have been declared unsafe due to the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).
The Department of Education has closed the affected classrooms and is working to ensure minimal disruption for the school and parents.
RAAC has been identified in buildings in England and Scotland, but this is the first identified case in Northern Ireland. [ more ]
